2006 HST MEAP REPORT
The 2006 HST MEAP results for the current class of 2007
have been reviewed and this report will show how Fulton students performed last
spring.
The students take five (5) tests in the following
subject areas: Math, Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies. The reading and writing test scores are
then averaged into a combined English/Language Arts score.
The attached graphs show how our current 12th
graders (last yearÕs 11th graders) performed in each subject area
and comparison with the prior year(s) and with the state average this year, in
each subject area.
Averaging each individual studentÕs Reading and Writing
scores derives the English/Language Arts (ELA) score. If that average is above the level for meeting the standard in
ELA, then the student has succeeded in ELA. For the Class of 2007, 43% of the students met the ELA
requirement and passed both reading and writing tests.
Seven (7) of the fifty-three (33) students who took the tests have
qualified for the Merit Scholarship by meeting the standards in math, reading,
writing and science. Students will have an opportunity to qualify for the Merit
Scholarship through retesting in Fall 2006 and Spring 2007.
