Science Committee Meeting March 12, 2008

1. The Middle school teachers met to review the new GLICS. They divided the existing modules to correspond to the new GLICS. More materials are needed, (280 additional books and 8 teacher guides)

2. 8^th grade and high school teachers will meet after spring break. Look at the MEAP prep. to help determine what texts to use in the 8^th grade.

3. Curriculum council: discussed the change of focus for the curriculum and the smart board presentation. The smart board would be a suburb learning tool in the classroom

4. Passed out the new GLICS to the elementary teachers at the last staff meeting
