September Social Studies Meeting

Present: Ron Merritt, Mandy Volk, Jim Goodspeed, Adam Mager, Darrell Postema, Jennifer Fife and Lori Misenhelder

Place: Mr. Merritt’s classroom

*Ron Merritt shared the social studies GLCE’s and HSCE’s and asked if anyone needed a new copy. All had a copy but would check with colleagues and report to Ron if anyone else needs one.

*We reviewed the Departmental Meeting Guidelines. Ron opened the agenda and let everyone know they are welcome to add to the agenda if they feel something is needed.

*We received a meeting schedule and discussed it so we are all aware that the social studies departmental meeting will be held at the high school through December and held at the elementary school from January through May.

*We discussed teaching supplies and if there was a need to for any. All agreed that we are satisfied with the social studies teaching supplies we have.
