Technology Committee Minutes

December 12, 2007

The Technology Committee met in the High School Media Center at 2:00 P.M.

Members Present: J. Hughes, C. Laplander, H. Malek, D. Thompson, P. Bearden, and

J. Heinlein

Items for Discussion:

Elementary Update – No new information

High School/Middle School Update – There is still a need for a teacher station in the business lab. Two projection units are scheduled for mounting in the business lab and the science classroom. Blackboard training has allowed several staff members to extend their curriculum and incorporate new technology into their existing courses. It is possible that more staff can take advantage of opportunities to train.

Other Information – The in-district ticket system is up and running. People are utilizing it.

Mrs. Bearden has received an offer from EduTek regarding the Classroom Performance System and software. She will discuss purchase options with Mr. Mungall, pursuing funds available through Curriculum Council.

The Michigan Occupational Information System (MOIS) is now available for student use.

Additional materials are available for student and staff use.
