Jordan Rahme, the son of Joe Rahme and Mark and Michelle Freeman all of Perrinton, is the Class of 2008 Valedictorian with a 4.00 grade point average. He was Student Council President, National Honor Society President, a member of Quiz Bowl, BPA, Science Olympiad, Student Leadership Forum, and the ABC Club. He was recognized as a three-time Super Student, a CMAC Scholar-Athlete and WNEM News 5 Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Athletically, Jordan earned nine varsity letters. Jordan will attend the University of Michigan on a full-ride Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship to study Engineering.

Katie Kanitz, the daughter of Stuart Kanitz of St. Johns and Kathy Kanitz of Howell, is the Class of 2008 Salutatorian with a 3.99 grade point average. Katie was involved in SADD, National Honor Society, and ABC Club. She was Co-President of the Class of 2008. Katie qualified for the State Finals as part of Business Professionals of America and was very active in the Clinton County 4-H program. She has been a member of the track team and her church youth group. Katie has earned three Super Student Awards and three academic varsity letters. Katie plans to attend Michigan State University in the fall to study Agri-Business.

Danae Rossman is the daughter of Dan and Denise Rossman of Perrinton. Danae was a member of the National Honor Society and Science Olympiad. She was a four-year member of the Pirate Band and has been the lead in each Drama production the past two years. She was a member of the basketball and track teams for four years and ran cross-country as a senior. Danae plans to attend Michigan State University to study Medicine.

Meredith Merritt is the daughter of Ronald and Claudia Merritt of Perrinton. Meredith received the Fulton Super Student Award three times during her high school career. She was selected as a CMAC Scholar-Athlete. Meredith was a member of the National Honor Society and was selected by the faculty as the 2007-08 DAR Good Citizen. She was a member of the Business Professionals of America and attended the State Finals the past two years. Meredith plans to attend the University of Michigan in the fall to study Environmental Engineering. |

Betsy Donohue is the daughter of Tim and Sherry Donohue of Perrinton. Betsy was Vice President of her class, a member of the National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Science Olympiad, Student Leadership Forum, and the ABC Club. She was a member of the 2007 Homecoming Court. Betsy was a three-time Super Student Award winner. Athletically, she will earn nine varsity letters. She was a cheerleader for football and basketball all four years and is a member of the varsity track team this spring. Betsy has been very involved in dance during high school. She was a dancer and assistant teacher for the Bohaty School of Dance and Kim’s Dance Dynamics Competition Teams. She also performed as a Chesaning Showboat Dancer. Betsy is also very active in the St. Martin’s Catholic Church Youth Group. Betsy will attend the University of Michigan in the fall to study Pre-Medicine or Business. |

Brandie Whitford is the daughter of Bob and Roberta Whitford of Maple Rapids. Brandie was a four-year member of the marching, jazz and concert bands. She attended Solo and Ensemble competition for three years and has earned her band varsity letter. She was selected to lead the Pirate Marching Band for three years as the Drum Major. Brandie has earned two Academic letters and was selected as a Super Student two times. She has been active in our National Honor Society and was a valuable member of the track team for three years, earning her varsity letter last season. Brandie plans to attend Grand Valley State University in the fall to study English and Journalism. |

Jacob Stephens is the son of Andy and Cindy Stephens of Maple Rapids. Jacob played football for four years earning three varsity letters. He earned an Honorable Mention All-Conference his senior year. He played basketball for four years earning two varsity letters. Jacob played baseball for four years earning two varsity letters. He earned an All-Area Division Four Award and also All-District, All-Region, and All-State Academic Awards his junior year. He is a CMAC Scholar-Athlete. Jacob is a member of the National Honor Society. Academically, Jacob has earned two Super Student Awards and numerous achievement awards in English, Math, Physical Education, and Science. He has received three Academic Varsity Letters. Jacob plans to attend Alma College in the fall to study Business |

| Ben Weber is the son of Chris and Lori Weber of Fowler. Ben is a member of the National Honor Society. He is a CMAC Scholar-Athlete and will earn ten varsity letters. In basketball, he was a three-year starter and a two-time Honorable Mention CMAC performer. In baseball, Ben was a three-year starter and First Team All-State, First Team All-Conference, Morning Sun Dream Team, Lansing State Journal Dream Team and Lansing State Journal All-Area. In football, he was First Team All-State, Morning Sun Dream Team, Lansing State Journal All-Area, First Team All-Conference Defensive Back and Wide Receiver and captain of the 2007 State Finals team. Ben will attend Michigan State University in the fall to study Accounting. |

Jacob Kissling is the son of Jerry and Bonnie Kissling of Maple Rapids. Jacob is a member of the National Honor Society. He is very active in his church and youth group. He has been on mission trips to Mexico and has helped with hurricane relief effort in Mississippi. Jacob plans to attend Cedarville University to get a degree in Political Science.

Brittany Borie is the daughter of Richard and Mary Borie of Middleton. Brittany was a member of the Student Council, National Honor Society and Science Olympiad. She was a participant in the drama production for three years and is a four-year member of the Quiz Bowl team, leading this year’s team to the White Division Championship on Quiz Busters. She is a member of the marching, concert, and pep bands for four years. Brittany will earn six varsity letters in cross-country, track and volleyball. In track, she was selected as the Most Improved Player and qualified for the state finals as a junior. She also was the Most Improved Runner in Cross Country. Brittany is planning on attending Michigan State University in the fall to study Business. |
