Old Business
Daryl spoke with Lisa Miller
and she said that the sign-up for concession workers and ticket takers for the
winter sports is going along pretty well.
Discussed the menu for the 5th
and 6th grade basketball tournaments which will be held in January
and February. Sarah will make sure
that all of the regular concession items are available and the organizers of
the tournaments will get the nachos/cheese/sloppy joes/hotdogs and buns.
New Business
Daryl informed the Boosters
that there was a grocery store in Westphalia going out of business and that
they had a hotdog warmer/heater for sale.
Daryl wondered if this would be something that would work for the
concessions. He said the asking price was $200. The group told Daryl to check it out a little further and if
he thought it was a good deal to make the man an offer.
The Boosters also know that
they may have to purchase a couple of coffee pots before next football
season.
ProctorÕs Corner
The JV/V Volleyball would
like the Boosters to consider getting them a volleyball jersey (just the shirt)
to wear as a uniform. Steve has a
price of approx. $36.94 per jersey and the team would need 30 to cover JV &
V. Rich Fuller is going to get
with Steve in the morning and see what his company can do. Motion by Kelly, support by Sarah that
the Boosters purchase 30 JV/V Volleyball jersey/shirts at a cost not to exceed
$36.94/jersey for a total of $1,108.20.
Motion carried.
Other Issues
Chad brought up a fund raiser
idea that he had heard about. It
is a virtual store that can be set-up on the internet through the Fulton
website. The website would give
people the opportunity to purchase Fulton printed items without the Boosters
getting involved in ordering or delivery. The initial set-up is free. The Boosters would make a small
commission on the items sold and would receive commission checks from the
company. The Boosters told
Chad to get some more information and he can report back to the group next
meeting.
The next Booster meeting will
be Monday, January 15th at 7 p.m.
Motion by Sarah, support by
Kelly that the meeting be adjourned at 7:35 p.m. Motion carried.
