Special Comments – Fulton took advantage of a late Fowler fumble on the Pirate 10 yard line to stage a 90 yard drive to score with only 27 seconds left and thwart Fowler’s upset bid. CJ Jefferson carried the ball 9 times on the game winning drive for 81 yards and the game winning TD. The Pirates had been held at the four yard line by Fowler late in the third quarter and appeared to be on the ropes when Jefferson took over the game with several clutch conversions on the game winning drive, including a fourth down conversion. Fulton will host defending state champion New Lothrop in the district final next Friday.
